Dual-stage function: Two-stage regulators are essentially two regulators in one body. The first, non-adjustable stage lowers the cylinder pressure to an intermediate pressure. The second, adjustable stage then further reduces it to the desired working pressure. This two-step process ensures a constant outlet pressure, even as the cylinder pressure decreases.
