The Taylor-Wharton CryoScience LABS-20K is a high-capacity liquid nitrogen cryogenic storage system designed for long-term preservation of biological samples in biobanks, research laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, and other professional cryogenic storage environments.
The LABS-20K features a stainless steel vacuum-insulated vessel, large-capacity internal inventory system, CryoScience electronic controller, automatic LN2 filling capability, temperature and liquid-level monitoring, and integrated alarm functions.
The system is designed to accommodate up to 19,500 2 mL vials when configured with the appropriate racks and storage boxes. Its large 13-inch neck opening and internal turntable system provide convenient access to stored samples.
The electronic controller powers on and responds to controls. During evaluation with the vessel empty and at room temperature, the controller displayed ambient temperature and activated High Temperature and Low LN2 alarms, consistent with the current empty condition of the vessel.
A Rees Scientific Wireless V2 monitoring module is installed on the system for additional external monitoring capability.
The unit has not been tested with liquid nitrogen.
