This Pinnacle Technology 3-Channel System was purchased new in 2018 and comprises 7 complete setups to measure mouse sleep EEG/EMG. This lot contains the following equipment:

The 3-channel mouse system is a configurable tethered setup capable of recording 2 EEG and 1 EMG for sleep or seizure or 3 EEG for seizure studies in mice. EEG and EMG waveforms are amplified and filtered at the head of the mouse by the 100X mouse preamplifier. Signals are then passed through the low torque mouse commutator/swivel to the data conditioning and acquisition system for final stage conditioning and filtering.
Pinnacle’s box camera has improved optics and low-light performance, as well as flexibility in mounting options. It can be mounted above the cage using Pinnacle’s standard mounting plate, on the cage stand, or to a tripod (9059) for recording at lower angles. A separate, automatic infrared illumination source allows video capture in conditions of reduced lighting and complete darkness. Record in color or grayscale. Up to four cameras can be used with a single synchronized video system (9000-K1).
The mouse preamplifier connects directly to the headmount (8201) via a 6-pin friction fitting (standard) or 8-pin friction fitting (independent). Amplification of the signal at the head eliminates 87% of cable artifact.
Preamplifiers for the three-channel system come in multiple configurations:
8202-SL: 2 EEG/1 EMG for Sleep
The circular 1/4" clear acrylic mouse cage has a 10" diameter and 8" height. Pinnacle's mouse cage is excellent to use with all of Pinnacle's mouse recording systems. Since the cage wall is equidistant from the pivot, the animal can comfortably reach the farthest point of its cage yet still not have too much slack in the tether when standing in the middle of the cage. This provides more comfort for the animal and less chance of the tether becoming fouled for the researcher. Access to water is provided, and the open top makes cleaning and feeding easy and accessible.
