Alternative Design MACS — Modular Animal Caging System — Gentle-Air double-sided ventilated rack with capacity for 160 mouse cage positions.
The system includes the rack structure, supply and exhaust blowers, MACS controllers/control panel, ductwork, hoses, and associated connections. Its double-sided configuration provides cage access from both sides, while casters allow movement within the facility.
The system was completely disassembled for cleaning. Internal ducts were pressure-washed, and components were cleaned, reassembled, and tested. Both supply and exhaust blowers are operational.
